Chief Steve and his family participated in a walk in honor of missing and murdered indigenous women on Saturday.  The Chief and his family walked with Kaitlin Potts’ family and others in the walk from Kalamalka Lake to downtown Kelowna where Kaitlin Potts was last seen 2 years ago.  In a statement to the press Chief Tresierra stated “Community and men need to stand up for our women, honor our women, and protect our women.” 
 
This walk was to bring awareness that this a crises across Canada.
